Volunteer Spotlight: Andrew Wong — Helping Every Participant Shine Through UMSC’s HIGH FIVE Program
Unionville Milliken Soccer Club is proud to recognize Andrew Wong, a dedicated volunteer who has supported UMSC’s HIGH FIVE Program since 2025.
Outside of his volunteer work, Andrew is a financial advisor who helps people manage their money. His professional role reflects many of the same qualities he brings to UMSC: listening to others, understanding their individual needs and helping them achieve their goals.
Andrew’s motivation for volunteering comes from a genuine desire to help people.
“I just love helping people. I believe that everybody has unique gifts and talents. It’s great to see them have fun and be able to do their best.”
Through his involvement in the HIGH FIVE Program, Andrew helps create a positive, welcoming and encouraging environment where every participant can feel included, build confidence and enjoy the game.
UMSC’s HIGH FIVE Program is designed to provide individuals with disabilities and additional support needs the opportunity to participate in soccer in a safe, supportive and enjoyable setting. Volunteers such as Andrew play an essential role by offering encouragement, adapting activities and helping each participant experience success in their own way.
Andrew’s commitment reflects the spirit of volunteerism at UMSC. By giving his time and sharing his positive outlook, he is helping participants discover their abilities, develop new skills and enjoy being part of the UMSC community.
