UMSC Receives Community Recognition from MP Tim Hodgson for its Contribution to the Markham Community
Unionville Milliken Soccer Club (UMSC) was honoured by Hon. Tim Hodgson, Member of Parliament for Markham–Thornhill, with a Certificate of Appreciation recognizing the Club’s contribution to the community through its participation in the Canada Summer Jobs Program 2026.
The recognition highlights UMSC’s role in creating meaningful opportunities for young Canadians to gain experience, develop new skills and prepare for their future careers—helping to shape the “leaders, innovators, and professionals of tomorrow.”
Representing UMSC at the August 28 recognition event were Paul Omoghan, Technical Director; Olivia Allen, Office Administrator; and Leo Jean-Baptiste, Sports Program Coordinator, who accepted the recognition on behalf of the Club.
For UMSC, this recognition reflects a commitment that extends beyond the soccer field. As a community-based organization, the Club creates opportunities for young players, coaches, volunteers, students and employees to learn, develop and contribute to their community.
UMSC thanks MP Tim Hodgson for this recognition and for acknowledging the important role community organizations play in creating opportunities for the next generation.
Developing players. Developing people. Strengthening our community.
