Micro Soccer

Whether you are considering joining the Unionville-Milliken Soccer Club (U-MSC) Micro Program or have made the choice to join the U-MSC Micro Program we are happy you came here. The U-MSC is a volunteer run, not for profit organization whose purpose is to develop the individual abilities of each soccer player with the aim of improving their playing skills and the enjoyment of soccer as a whole. The UMSC was established in 1976 to administer and run Soccer programs for youth aged 4-19 and adults in the Markham communities of Unionville and Milliken Mills.

By registering your child for Micro Soccer at U-MSC your child will get a uniform consisting of a shirt, shorts, socks, shin pads, and a soccer ball. At the end of the year, they will get a team photo, a trophy and a Soccer Day celebration consisting of a game, activities, food and drink.

You should expect a call from your child’s coach the last week in May. The coach will introduce themselves and let you know when your child’s first game is.  We look forward to seeing you on the field for the first game June 2nd for Monday evening teams or June 7th for Saturday morning teams. Other key dates to mark on your calendar are:

Soccer Day

Something to consider is outdoor soccer shoes. It is your choice whether to purchase outdoor soccer shoes for your child and it is not necessary or required to have them but as your child progresses through the season he/she might find it help to have outdoor soccer shoes on the field. If you would like to purchase outdoor soccer shoes, they can be purchase at most children shoe retailers (including Walmart), most sporting goods stores and used sports equipment stores (such as Play It Again Sports.  Please go early as most stores run out of stock for preschool children early.

As the Program Director for Micro Soccer, I am available to answer any questions you might have. I can be reached by email at micro@u-msc.com. We are always looking for volunteers, if you are interested to volunteer please contact me.
