WANTED: Volunteer Finance Committee Member

The Unionville-Milliken Soccer Club (UMSC)  Board of Directors' strategy and governance mandates are supported through Standing Committees.  The Finance Standing committee is foundational to the effectiveness in which the UMSC addresses financially related matters.  As part of this Committee, the incumbent will contribute to establishing policies and procedures that will strengthen the UMSC financial governance and drive operational efficiencies for Members and stakeholders.   This volunteer role is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about strengthening leadership and governance in the not-for-profit sector.

You will have financial acumen and tax expertise as it relates to understanding the CRA regulations and experience to counsel on tax issues arising so that the Committee can collectively derive best practices and recommendations to support the Club's fiduciary responsibilities.

The Finance Committee, as a standing committee, will meet regularly at an established cadence.   Your voice, as a member of our club will matter and will help shape the future of the UMSC and its influence within our Community.
