Boys U11 Tour Germany, Austria and Czech Republic! |
|
|
|
The UMSC Boys
2000 team visited Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic in August
2011. The boys enjoyed touring many unique sites, enjoying the
beautiful lakes and mountains, as well as playing against some of
Europe’s best youth teams.
The team had a busy week visiting beautiful sites in Munich, Salzburg,
Gmunden, Fuschl, Hallstatt and Český Krumlov. Some of the highlights
were a private tour of the Allianz Arena; hiking up the mountain to tour
the Ice Caves in Werfen; sliding down super long slides at the Hallstatt
Salt Mine; a walking tour of the historic town of Český Krumlov;
attending a private reception at City Hall in Gmunden as well as a
special visit to the ornate library at the recently restored VyššíBrod
Cistercian Abbey.
The team also had a chance to play against 4 Austrian and Czech youth
teams, including the top ranking Salzburg Red Bull Boys U11 team at the
Sports Center Salzachsee, Salzburg, as well as the youth teams in Fuschl,
Gmunden and Český Krumlov. The boys played a spectacular game against
Salzburg Red Bull with a final result of 1-1 and won the other games.
In addition to enjoying the different cuisine of the regions, the boys
had a fabulous cultural and sport experience! They are looking forward
to new adventures this coming summer.
Special thanks to the Zerbs family for helping to organize the trip! |
